Melvin’s Biography

Hi guys I’m the KISS 100 Breakfast Show‘s resident Riddler… where there is Spandex there is Melvin Odoom!

I present the KISS 100 Breakfast Show with my good friend Rickie Haywood-Williams (he paid me to say that) and the wonderful Charlie Hedges who we love like a little sister. Adam K – Producer Man keeps us in check and we just have a lot of fun and laughs on the show mixed in with good music, competitions, gossip and news.

When I’m not on KISS I often do some work for 4Music, KISS TV, BBC3 and E4. I also feature in the BAFTA award winning CBBC show ‘The Slammer’, produced by Steve Ryde, who brought you the kids TV programme Dick and Dom In Da Bungalow (which I also featured in… good times!). I have also worked on CBBC shows ‘Basil Brush’s Swap Shop’, ‘Smart’, ‘Tiny And Mr Duck’ (where I used to dress up in chicken suits and all sorts) and ‘Harry Batt’ (YouTube some of these shows if you want to laugh at me).

I studied Media and Drama at A-Level which led me to gain a Media Performance and Radio degree at university where I met Rickie Haywood-Williams who taught me how to speak to girls… now I’m a beast!

As well as working on KISS 100, in my spare time Rickie and I work on numerous projects. We organise social events, which allow us to showcase our talents as presenters and sometimes a bit of acting…!! Have a look at MENT2EXCEL (link to ment2excel.com) and let us know what you think!!!

Charlie’s Biography

Charlie has been working with the guys on the KISS 100 Breakfast Show for about 3 and a half years. She gets up at the crack of dawn, usually earlier, to present the show with Rickie & Melvin.

When she’s not hanging out at the KISS 100 studios, she’s out and about DJing at some of London’s hottest clubs. Her debut set was in November 2007 and since then she’s been spinning tunes in Ibiza, London’s SEone, Ministry of Sound, Embassy for OK magazine’s celebrity party, Urban Inc at the O2 and loads of other nightclubs in London.

Charlie also works with clubtown.tv, working with other DJs, artists and performers at club events to raise money for charities such as NSPCC, British Heart Foundation and Breast Cancer. Check out where she’s playing on her myspace myspace.com/charliehedges.

As a KISS 100 Breakfast Show co-host, Charlie get’s to meet the hugest stars. She’s Mariah Carey, Kanye West, Nelly, Rhianna, Nicholas Hoult, Sam Branson, The Rock, Jacqueline Gold of Ann Summers, Tobin Bell, Paul Kaye, Carmen Electra, Danny Dyer and boxer Amir Khan. She also does voice over work for MTV, Key 103fm and record label Defected.

Adam K’s Biography

Adam K – A.K.A LMP DJs / Elektrus / Ctrl Alt Dlte

Award winning DJ and party animal Adam K is continuing to stamp his imprint on dance culture and grow from strength to strength. In addition to the recognition behind the CDJ’s , Adam is set to unleash his trademark tough beats around the globe with his new material.

“I play the music I’d love to hear and dance to on the dancefloor… It’s that simple”

Inspired by the hedonistic house music of Carl Cox and Armand Van Helden during the early nineties, Adam K learnt his trade in spinning twisted house music using a pair of 5th hand decks! Loaded with equipment and youthful exuberance he set about living his dream. His talent was quickly spotted gaining his own radio show at Loughborough University also securing club residencies around the East Midlands.

Adam K moved to London pursuing his ambition, joining Capital FM in 1999. Producing and presenting at Capital, Adam K established relationships with DJs like Jeff Mills, Eric Morillo and interviewing the likes of Carl Cox, Underworld and Armand Van Helden. These friendships grew and are still strong today.

Adams energy and ambition lead him to Radio 1, where he worked on the world famous Essential Selection with Pete Tong and other shows across the station including The Sara Cox Breakfast Show, Scott Mills and Jo Wiley.

You can now find Adam K on KISS producing the flagship Breakfast Show and the most listened to show in London on Friday nights… Friday Night Kiss.

Adam K also presents the LMP Podcast and LMP Radio Show.

Adam K’s productions can be found on Beatport, itunes, Xpress beats, DJ Download… and many other blog sites and of course MySpace which has helped Adams reputation across the globe.

Adam’s ideas and production values remain even though using a number of pseudonyms to keep musical avenues open from his trademark tough house sound.

Keep your ears open for tracks by Elektrus, Ctrl Alt Dlte and the LMP DJs, all of which are Adam’s productions. Most recently Elektrus appeared on the Ministry Of Sound Underground Ibiza 08 Album!
